The goal was a UK-wide property services directory that would take on the traditional commission-based model. It needed to connect customers with local estate agents, mortgage brokers, conveyancers, and removals companies through a genuinely fair system. Unlike competitors that charge commission or sell user data, Upsticks Directory shows results ranked purely by distance, with no paid placements and no hidden fees.
Our Solution
We built a full-stack platform using Next.js, covering everything from user authentication and business account management to multi-location support, group messaging, and payment processing via Stripe. The first 100 businesses got free lifetime membership to get things moving, with future listings at £12/month. No upsells, no small print.
